Description

Corn is a cereal and a most widely grown crop in the Americas. The term "corn" is for any grain, but now usually refers to maize. Corn constitutes a staple food in many regions of the world. It is also a major source of cooking oil (corn oil) and of maize gluten. United States produces almost half of the world's harvest, followed by China, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, India and France.
