Donkey
Description
The donkey or ass is a domesticated animal. As "beasts of burden" and companions to humans, donkeys have been domesticated for centuries. Donkeys have been used for transportation of supplies, pulling wagons, and, in a few cases, as riding animals. A male donkey or ass is called a jack, a female a jenny, and offspring less than one year old, a foal.
