Caterpillar
Description
Caterpillars are the larval form of butterflies and moths. Caterpillars have been called "eating machines", as they eat leaves voraciously causing much damage. Other species eat food crops and many of them are considered pests in agriculture. Caterpillars do not have good vision. They move their heads from side to side probably as a means of judging distance of objects, particularly plants.
