Castle
Description
A castle (from Latin castellum), is a defensive structure. Castles were primarily a military institution, intended to be places of protection from an enemy. But often over time comfortable homes evolved within the fortified walls. The appearance and size of the castle reflect the prestige and power of the occupants. Forts were the antecedants of castle.
