Squirrel

Description

Squirrels are small or medium-sized rodents with large bushy tails. Squirrels' diet consists primarily of a wide variety of plant food, including nuts, seeds, conifer cones, fruits, fungi and green vegetation. Squirrels have been known to eat insects, eggs, small birds, young snakes and smaller rodents. Squirrels are sometimes considered pests. Squirrels are occasionally kept as household pets, provided they are selected young enough.
