Seal
Description
Seals or pinnipeds are fin-footed mammals. They are widely distributed and diverse group of semi-aquatic marine mammals. Pinnipeds are typically sleek-bodied, barrel-shaped, and can be rather large. Their limbs have evolved into short, wide, flat flippers. All seals are carnivorous, eating fish, shellfish, squid, and other marine creatures. Almost all seals are potential prey for orcas and larger sharks.
